If you are looking to buy Chinese manufactured products then Ulife supermarket is the place to be. This hypermarket is located at R. A. De Mel Mawatha and opened all 7 days from 9 am to 7 pm.

This was a firs time experience for both Sithika and I, we called around and we picked up something called Fried dough twist which was priced at Rs. 750. It looked quite appealing and it is made of two or three strands of dough twisted together and fried with peanut oil. When biting into it, we didn’t get much of a flavour but it left us with a sweet after taste.  Next was the Oreo wafer roll. It cost us Rs.650 and seeing this made me so excited to try it but to be honest it wasn’t the best as the flavour of oreo wasn’t really coming through and it seemed a bit stale as well. And finally, we picked up a carton of Copico potato chips that were priced at Rs.1400. For a second, I thought it was a doritos because of the way it looked. This was in the original flavour and it is quite different from all the other original flavours of crisps out there! Quite interesting and is definitely a must-try.

And right downstairs from the supermarket, we entered a store called Boba tea, which served a range of boba teas and shakes. We ordered a classic Milo bubble tea which was priced at Rs.1500 and it was quite an interesting flavour that came through when the milo was combined with the boba. Also, another definite must-try!
